Darryl Scott McKeithan, 32, and Winston Darnell Nichols Jr, 35, are accused of robbing a stranger at gunpoint in the 12400 block of Dillingham Square in Woodbridge on Oct 4, Prince William County police said.

A 34-year-old man told police he was sitting in a parking lot just after 2 a.m. when three men approached him and demanded his things. When he refused, an SUV pulled up alongside them.  The driver got out with a gun and punched him in the face, a police incident report said. They stole his backpack, which had a handgun inside, and drove off, the report said. Doctors at an area hospital treated the man for his wounds.

Police arrested McKeithan on Monday, June 20, in connection with that robbery, the report said. Authorities arrested Nichols two days later. Officers are still searching for the other men involved, officials said.

Police charged McKeithan with aggravated malicious wounding, robbery, using a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, the report said. They charged Nichols with aggravated malicious wounding, robbery, using of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and grand larceny of a firearm, police said.
